It just happened that I was free when my good friend Katie came back to San Francisco to visit her parents for Christmas. To celebrate her visit, we did a quick fashion shoot at the Legion of Honor. It was a nice and clear day… maybe a bit too clear and a little too nice. When we arrived, there were two wedding photography shoots going on! Trying to be as unobtrusive as possible, we shot on the ramp near the pillars to be out of their way and in the shade.

The shoot went well despite having to pause and break frequently due to people wandering in the background. I also took the opportunity to use some cinema film since I hadn’t shot with it in a while. I erred on the side of caution and overexposed by a stop just in case there was additional speed loss due to the film just sitting around in a drawer.
However, when all was said and done, I discovered that one of my lenses had a 3-stop dark red filter on it! I probably had forgotten to take off the filter when I shot infrared film! Total rookie mistake! Well, at least I can play it off as being very lomo I guess…

Although our time together was short, I was glad to have caught up with Katie and hopefully I’ll see her again before next Christmas!
